Student Union Mont Rose College

My role as president student’s union body is to promote the students’ welfare and safety, acting as a barrier between the students and the college. Ensuring the students are up-to-date with college policy and regulations that manage the education system, highlighting the benefits and facilities in place to study. Ensure that students are aware of helpful information from the college. Encouraging students to participate in any events put together by the college for a good purpose, such as raising funds for charity and planning a very successful Christmas party, enlighten students on hardship funds. Furthermore, expanding relationships with other institution unions to enhance our college’s ideas.

I applied for this role as my experience as a class captain and to help others. I wanted to take of a challenge of the role insuring to bridge the gap between students and college administration to ensure a more robust relationship is built between students and college to ensuring transparency. In addition to take the lead in any student issue to the school authority.

My name is Olabode Ishola Gbeleyi, Higher National Diploma (NHD) in Health and Social Care. My ethnic background is from Africa, married, and have two boys, ages 15 and 12, I am currently practicing in health care practice with private care organisation. I am approachable, charitable, supportive, and a peace advocate. My hobbies are enjoy reading about politics and research, listening to music, and watching football.

The Academic and Welfare Officer

Student Union Mont Rose College

My role as an academic and welfare officer encompasses services that promote pupils’ and students’ physical, mental and social well-being. The services advance the balanced growth and development of the young, foster a culture of caring and positive interaction in the school community, and ensure equal learning opportunities for all.

As an Academic & Welfare Officer, I act as a liaison between students and the college, collating information regarding academic experience from departmental representatives of their faculties. I also initiate change in the feedback background and help with the quality of all postgraduate services.

I applied for this position because I have health problems and received a lot of support and help from the welfare officer. I see many students like me, and I would like to help. I would like to further develop this sector by connecting students with the relevant department they need.

My name is Silvia Atanasova. I am a second-year Hospitality management student. I was born in Bulgaria and lived in the United Kingdom for seven years. I studied psychology previously; I have many transferable skills and an excellent work ethic. I am an extremely motivated person, always ready to help. My hobby is to traveling as well as listening to educational lectures. I like sports as well as delicious food.
